Happy Veteran's Day friends! We had an amazing weekend filled with so many joys and celebrations to be grateful for. Our family enjoyed the movies, had dinner, celebrated birthdays for friends, and worshiped at our home church, free of any worry that we may be in danger or wished any harm by doing any of these things. Totally free to celebrate and enjoy the moments we had. That's not the case for many people around the world so today we want to take the time to honor the men and women who fought to protect the freedoms that we all are able to enjoy.

My father served in the Vietnam War so our family was touched by the effects of the sacrifices of war. He's a quiet man and so he doesn't talk much about his time there. Anytime he does open up about it we are willing to listen and show our love and support and honor him for his service. He has had a full life and time heals wounds and hurts, and for that we are grateful. Today as we took the time to honor my dad and spend time with him I thought about all the things he saw and experienced during his service. I thought about friends that we have that served in different capacities and all the things they've seen and experienced, and I thought about their families and where they are now. Reflecting on these things made me feel so grateful that our people, my dad, our friends, got to come home and enjoy the freedoms they fought to protect with families of their own.

So today we just want to say thank you. Thank you so much for all that was given to serve and protect our country and our families. ♥
